Khao Lak

The region of Khao Lak is about 20km in length and consists of coastal resorts on the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand.

Khao Lak is located just 100km north of Phuket Airport (1 hour transfer). Unlike Phuket, the resorts in Khao Lak cater mainly to families and those looking for peace, quiet and nature.   It is also a stunning destination for weddings and honeymooners.

If exotic nightlife and bustling crowds is what makes your holiday, Khao Lak is probably not the place for you. But for those seeking to get off the treadmill, who love quieter family holidays and being close to nature, Khao Lak is the perfect destination.

About 2.5km north of Khao Lak town is Hat Bang Niang. Hat Pakarang and Hat Bang Sak, 12km to 13km north of Hat Khao Lak, are a sleepy, unbroken sandy stretch surrounded by thick mangroves, rolling pasture and rubber-tree plantations forming a wide buffer between the coast and highway. You’ll feel like you’ve really escaped it all here.
